RACING RESUME David Jobusch, 45 years young, started his racing career when he was 12, racing a Margay Cheetah go-kart on a dirt circle track near his home town of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Unfortunately, this did not lead to the NASCAR or Formula 1 career he and his father envisioned, so Dave turned his focus to turning his lifelong passion for playing with technology into something that could pay for race rubber. After earning his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science from Iowa State University, David moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1989 to work as a software engineer for Hewlett-Packard Company. Now working for Intel Corporation as a VLSI design automation engineer, he is the computer systems guru/video and data guy/tech nerd for the Track Rats. He entered the local motorsports scene in 2003, and enjoyed a strong rookie season, taking the RMSolo SCCA Novice Championship and winning his class at RMC BMW CCA autocross. From the start, he took notice of those really cool BMWs with the Bimmer Haus graphics that seemed to win at every event Now a certified Bimmerholic (he races his E36 M3 and daily drives an E39 M5), David is in popular demand as an instructor at both SCCA and BMW autocross and track events, and is now Co-Chief Instructor for SCCA Time Trials (along with Dan Goodman), a BMW CCA Performance Driving Instructor Mentor, and a regular Chief for the Tire Rack Street Survival program for both BMW CCA and SCCA. He is also an officer for the RMC BMW CCA, serving as Secretary since 2006, and a member-at-large on the Autocross Committee.
